In this episode I am joined with Sixto and Orlando recorded about a week after returning from my 2024 Colorado elk hunt. We talk about thier overall expereince from the hunt, lessons learned, and gear that worked or maybe didnt. Things they learned from the hiking, camping , and the hunting aspect of this backcountry hunt. We touch on a variety topics, from camping gear, food, and the hunt itself.
Welcome to a special edition of a "not" So TX Outdoors episode, as this was recorded in Colorado during my recent archery elk hunt. I was joined by Orlando and Sixto two buddies of mine from the Salty Yak Pack. They were crazy enough to come on this adventure with me. We do a quick day of arrival recording, to get our thoughts and excitment on record, then we record about every other day or so in the backcountry to recap the days events as they unfolded. This was truly the most epic elk hunt I have ever been a part of, we had lots of aciton and multiple oportunities. But as we all know archery is a game inches and then fially one day it all came together, then my excitment slowly turned the reality of a hunters worst nightmare, come true. You'll have to listen to the end for the full story. Thanks for listening hope you enjoy coming along for the adventure.
