On April 20th, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made a surprise visit to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy—his first since the start of the Russian invasion—and reaffirmed Ukraine’s rightful place in NATO. Indeed, as the NATO summit in July nears, Ukraine’s potential membership is firmly on the table.
