So, What‘s the Problem? episodes

  • Drop the Pilot-Twin Detectives (1976)

Tysto and Jimmy chat about the really rather dull Twin Detectives which tells the story of, obviously, twins who are detectives. Or rather, detective, singular, as they pretend to be one person to solve crimes and to generally wind people up. We discuss the cast and, as it's the 70s, I enjoy the theme, which I play at the end of the show. Contains no strong language, shockingly.

  • The Net (1995) Problem
This episode, Jen and Jimmy tackle the Sandra Bullock movie, The Net. Is it an ahead of its time thriller or just a dull piece of crap? Eh, kind of a bit of both? In one of our opinions, anyway, the other one liked it... Contains strong language.

  • The Sleepless in Seattle (1993) Problem
In the first official episode, Jen and Jimmy talk about Sleepless in Seattle and go through just what is wrong with it through a modern eye. Don't worry, folks, neither of us hate the movie, it just has... issues... but we want to prove we can cover good movies and not just stuff like The Crush. Although, Jimmy does wage war against an item of clothing... If you have any suggestions for films to cover, email us at [email protected]

  • The Crush (1993) Problem
In the first episode of a new podcast, Jimmy and Jen discuss The Crush from 1993 and see just how problematic it is by today's standards. Both of them have a list of three problems (they can be major or extremely innocuous) and just have a fun chat. They also have to come up with one positive of the movie too. The podcast talks briefly about abuse and rape (in the context of the film) but we try to keep it as light as possible. Contains strong language.

  • Drop the Pilot- The Danger Team (1991)

Hey, everyone, Owen is back! He's here to chat about the rather odd pilot, The Danger Team which incorporates claymation figures into the real world. Three tiny aliens land on Earth and help a bookkeeper solve crimes. The 80s! Wait, this was made in the 90s???  #DangerHo.

  • Steel Collar Man (1985)
Tysto joins me once again but this time to chat about the Dave Thomas written spoof, Steel Collar Man, starring Charles Rocket. It's basically an episode of "Jimmy explains what's going on to Tysto". Enjoy!

  • Lookwell (1991)
JP makes a triumphant return to chat about Lookwell, a Conan O'Brien created pilot starring Adam West. We wonder if the once ahead of its time humour is now outdated and chat about the show's leading man. Enjoy!

  • Comic Book Month- Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again (1990)
Week five (can you believe it?) of Comic Book Month and Jen returns to talk about the first time they attempted a live action Archie TV show. 30 years ago! We chat about the cast, the humour, some UK/US differences and how the pilot compares to the comics. Which Jen has read and I have not.

  • Comic Book Month- Solarman (1988)
Week four of Comic Book Month and Tysto is back to talk about the Marvel animated pilot, Solarman. We disagree on a couple of things but both agree that the pilot itself is pretty crap.

  • Comic Book Month-The Amazing Screw On Head (2006)
Week three of Comic Book Month sees Martin return to chat about Mike Mignola's The Amazing Screw-On Head. Based on a one-shot comic from the world of Hellboy, the pilot features the voices of Paul Giamatti, David Hyde Pierce and Patton Oswalt. We may be witnessing history, folks, we may just possibly have found a pilot Martin actually likes... Features a guest appearance from one of our wives... Enjoy!
