So, What‘s the Problem? episodes

  • Gremlins Commentary
As a bonus Christmas/Holiday "gift" to you, Tysto and I recorded a commentary for the classic 80s movie, Gremlins for his podcast. We talk about everything Gremlins, really as this is one of my personal favourites. A brand new Christmas themed episode will be out next week.

  • The Crystal Cube (1983)
Alex and Nick from the Release the Clowns Podcast join me for the first time to discuss a BBC pilot written by and starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. We discuss British comedy, the cast and ponder Hugh Laurie's American accent. It was a fun recording but there are slight audio issues because Skype wasn't playing ball. I have better Skype calls with people across the pond from me, but when they're in the same country... Contains mild language and the use of discriminatory language in the context of a show from the 1970s.

  • Tickets Please (1988)
Tysto returns to talk about the train set sit-com Tickets Please, which is clearly mimicking Cheers, which would have been in it's 6th season at the time. We talk about the cast, the terrible characters and just ponder the whole miserable tone of it all. Also, I bring out the big guns... my knowledge of the Cheers theme tune. Contains brief strong language.

  • Bonus: Junk Foodies- Great Scot!
As a bonus, please enjoy this episode of JP's Junk Foodies podcast in which I guest starred. In it, I tasked JP three UK foods to try (two Scottish) and he truthfully gives his opinions and then asks me some junk food related questions. It was a fun wee chat, enjoy!

  • L.A. Confidential (2003)
Our guest this episode is JP from the Junk Foodies podcast who joins me to chat about the first TV adaptation of L.A. Confidential. We talk about the cast, bad Marilyn Monroe impersonators and ponder the weird inclusion of a fart noise in this serious drama.

  • Mockingbird Lane (2012)
For our Halloween special, Tysto and I delve into the updated version of The Munsters, Mockingbird Lane, that aired during the spooky season back in 2012. It was intended to be a pilot but obviously didn't make it and I can see why. This may be one of those rare pilots that I actually hate. Maybe. We chat about the violence, the character assassinations, Eddie Izzard being a great human being and I compare it to the Addams Family movies.

  • Supernatural Pilot Commentary
As an early Halloween gift, enjoy this commentary to the 2005 pilot to Supernatural. Jen and I wanted to do this and it just happens to be set at Halloween but it's all good. We talk about the leads, where the show goes (so, spoilers) and just how much of a relief it is to watch a good pilot. You can find it on Netflix in the US and Prime in the UK. This is a stand-in episode for our regular ep, which will be released later than planned but earlier than next Monday...

  • Bonus: The Robinsons Remastered
As a bonus episode, I decided to go back and re-edit an episode from 18 months ago, back when I really wasn't that good at editing at all. I have sorted some background noise and made the episode tighter, removing any unnecessary words, sounds, coughs, pauses, umms and aaahs. The links to the pilot are on the page for the original release, April 25th 2018. A brand new episode will be released next week, a "spooky" pilot in time for Halloween. And another reboot of a classic 60s show...

  • An Outtakes Show
For a bonus episode, it's time for some outtakes and bloopers from the past few episodes. Listen as Martin annoys me, enjoy a salvaged conversation from an episode Jim and I recorded for Coptember that can't be released on its own (audio was messed up) and hear a conversation by Owen and I regarding the final scene of Sniff that was cut for time. Contains an annoyed Scotsman, therefore, strong language. Enjoy!

  • Sniff (1988)
Owen makes a triumphant return to the podcast to chat about Sniff, a sit-com about a reporter and his newly adopted dog who can sniff out good stories. It's quite dull and extremely rushed so we hypothetically fix it by... making it longer... We also talk about the dog, the rest of the cast and the terrible mugging by Robert Wuhl. We both wonder if we are actually supposed to like this guy or not. Contains that strong language.
