David wrote this Psalm 55 during the early stages of Absalom’s conspiracy.

David triumphed because he sought God:

I will call — Lord will save me (v.16), (Whosoever shall call upon the name of the God shall be saved Rom.10:13).

I will cast — Lord will sustain me (v.22). (Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you 1 Pet.5:7).

I will trust — God will preserve me from the enemies (v.23). (Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. Ps.26:1).

God gives us burdens and we are to give them back to Him. Trials force you to respond. You can fly, fight or fly about them. God has a purpose in your trials and want you to learn how to fly about it. Cast your burden upon Him and trust Him for the strength to fly about your difficulty. Don’t ask for wings like a dove to fly away. Instead, Let God give you wings like an Eagle so you can soar above the storm.
