Catie Reay was born into a religious cult run by Curly Thornton Ministries in Montana and grew up in an environment where being sexually assaulted on a regular basis was what she was taught love was. She started using drugs and alcohol at the age of 11 to escape her reality and to simply feel a little less agony than she woke up with. 

Catie now has over a decade of sobriety under her belt and shares her story with us in hopes of helping someone else who may be struggling.

ep - 77 Guided Meditation with our sober Sista Dawn D.

Welcome to The Soberoso™ Podcast where we invite guests and listeners from around the world to join us in “Sharing Our Passion For Recovery.”

Find a comfortable and quiet space in your home and let go of everything that weighs you down. Let go of fear and all that weighs you down as we move into acceptance as Dawn D guides us in this 15 minute meditation.

Take this time for yourself to unwind and be in the present moment. Turn your noise distractions off around you, perhaps you would like to turn the lights down, light a candle, maybe some incense and lay down in your bed or sit in a comfortable space. This is a perfect introduction to meditation and a great way to practice some self love and care.

Many of our listeners use our guided meditation to help them ease into a good nights sleep or to get grounded in a moment of stress.

With seven plus years sober Paul still loves electronic music and going to Ibiza to dance with his wife. He was determined to not allow alcohol to rob him of living and he still goes out to socialize in the pubs while drinking pop.
