Over the past two weeks, I've started coaching at an unaffiliated Crossfit style gym. Thought it could be interesting to discuss the difference between coaching these two sports. I also discuss getting the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Today I discuss yesterday's dream a topic idea I got from Jason Khalipa former Crossfit athlete and now gym owner. I decide to take the subject one step further and talk about my own experiences on this subject. I discuss wanting to become a Soccer head coach of professional team but recently started to pivot away from that.

Today's episode is mainly about the challenge I did over the weekend. David Goggins 4x4x48 which required me to run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. I completed the challenge and was very happy about that, however, I did learn a few things along the way. I wanted to share what I learnt and how it links to mental health. I also discuss Covid fatigue which I'm sure a lot of people have right now.

This subjected popped up on my LinkedIn a couple of days a go, I believe I've had some unique experience of this. hope this helps young coaches ask the correct questions and be better prepared to start their adventure.

Back in 2015 one thing lead to another and I found myself having an interview for the Real Salk Lake job. It's been a long time since then and it's a story not many people know about. Hope this story entertains you but also motivates you to send that chance email or make that phone call.

Today's episode is about the crazy week I had here in Houston Texas and an unplanned trip to Louisiana. 

"Over the weekend, a massive winter storm descended upon the state of Texas, bringing harsh, unprecedented weather to the region: snow, ice, single-digit temperatures. The inclement conditions were punishing enough — most houses in Texas feature little insulation, which prompted many to crank up the heat in their living spaces. But in the early morning hours on Monday, the state’s power grid — which was not equipped to handle such frigid conditions — began to buckle under the increased demand, resulting in sweeping power outages. On Tuesday, more than 4 million people across the state didn’t have the means to heat their homes, forcing them to resort to desperate — and in some cases, deadly — efforts to stay warm. Meanwhile, unhoused people are freezing to death on the streets.  Days later, hundreds of thousands of Texans are still in need of relief. Virgil Van Dijk is a Liverpool FC centre back playing in the Premiership. Unfortunately, he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury. However, he is back in the gym training hard. What I wanted to discuss today is what work goes in behind the scenes to make the players we see on the weekend. hopefully, this podcast raises some questions on players and coaches fitness development.
