I am hoping to make this more of a series, but with it being the off-season and Jeff Petry having just been dealt to Pittsburgh over the weekend, I decided to take a look back to the 2020 trade deadline when Marc Bergevin had an amazing opportunity to kickstart a desperately needed rebuild in Montreal. He not only did not, he loaded up the following off-season. In doing so, he cost the Canadiens a mountain of assets.
