Mental Health matter to us all, we need to care for the vitality and well being of our minds just as much as our bodies and our souls. We need a holistic approach and that takes help. We need each other. This series aims to help alleviate the stigma of mental health and mental illness and bring the good news of the gospel to bare on our mental health.
So how do we respond, with hope. Empathy opens the door for hope to enter, empathy is our presence with people in the darkness, in their pain and hope is the soft glow of our candle in the night. Brene Brown offers a very clear definition of empathy, we tried showing this in our gathering but unfortunately had some technical difficulties. (You will notice a gap near the beginning where we tried to show the video).
Even in the darkest moments of life the hope have in Jesus is the light in the darkness.
