Back in August, Rena Gray reached out to Sold Magazine to talk about an exciting opportunity. Only knowing Rena from her photos, and meeting her smiling face at art shows, I was pleasantly surprised that she was getting more involved. She was taking on the role as curator for a new festival that would be happening in November in Mexico, and asked for Sold's support. There was a substantial amount of coverage from Kristy Calabro and John Domine, and they had the time of their life! The Akumal Art and Culture Festival will be taking submissions for the 2nd Annual Festival in November '19, so be sure to check out the info on their website, and join us next year! Just a touch after Halloween, and a little late for Day of the Dead; K-NOR was still very welcome to sit down with the Sold Crew, and tell us why his skulls stand alone. K-NOR and his Kreep Squad envision the end of days on the horizon, and evoke a wake up warning to his audience. With a formal training from RISD, the graffiti bug caught him while working on a school project in an abandoned building. He is taking on his biggest project to date, and it was the perfect time to learn what is behind those dripping skulls!
