En este capítulo les hablo sobre mi vida en el deporte, desde que era chiquita, hasta ahorita que tengo casi 27. Les cuento sobre como empecé con el running y como conocí el triatlón. Les comparto consejos sobre cosas que hice y no volvería hacer, sobre por qué nutrir tu cuerpo es tan importante para rendir en el deporte y en la vida, sobre cómo los entrenamientos de alta intensidad pueden afectar tus hormonas.
Les expreso mis deseos mas íntimos del corazón y explico como los fuertes traumas, depresión, ansiedad afectan o te imposibilitan de hacer deporte. Termino haciendo un resumen de lo que hice bien y lo que puedo mejorar de mi primera carrera en Bélgica (500m nadando y 5k corriendo). También respondo preguntas como: ¿Qué fue lo mas dificil de volver al triatlón?
En este capítulo conversé con Desirée Yépez y Gianna Benalcázar, periodistas ecuatorianas, sobre su proyecto Silenciadas: Femicidio, la otra pandemia.
Se dice que el femicidio es otra pandemia. La afirmación se sostiene en que ni siquiera la COVID-19 que frenó a raya a un planeta entero, que pausó la vida de 7594 millones de personas, detuvo la expresión más salvaje de la violencia contra las mujeres: la muerte.
Mientras las autoridades, la ciencia y los medios de comunicación exponían la letalidad del coronavirus, niñas, jóvenes y adultas eran asesinadas en el contexto del confinamiento. Antes de la declaratoria de la emergencia nacional en Ecuador, el 16 de marzo, el dato indicaba que una mujer era asesinada en el país cada tres días, cada 72 horas. Esta realidad no cambió. El riesgo se incrementó de la mano de la expansión de la nueva enfermedad.
No hay información concluyente sobre el número de víctimas de violencia de género ante la emergencia sanitaria. Es ahí donde SILENCIADAS nace como un proyecto para visibilizar esas vidas que alimentan la estadística. Surge como una iniciativa periodística que pretende generar ruido donde se impone el silencio.
SILENCIADAS recoge testimonios, entrevistas, estadística y un registro de casos a partir del monitoreo de medios y el cotejo con organizaciones como el Centro Ecuatoriano para la Promoción y Acción de la Mujer (CEPAM) y la Alianza para el mapeo de femicidios.
En esta conversación nos cuentan sus experiencias, aprendizajes y el trabajo detrás de este proyecto que ahora puede ser leído también en una versión física.

En este capítulo hablo sobre Qatar, un país de contrastes en el desierto, anfitrión del mundial de fútbol 2022. Hago un análisis de la violación de Derechos Humanos en relación a la discriminación con las personas LGBTIQ+, a las mujeres en la ley y en la práctica y las condiciones de trabajo de los inmigrantes.
Además, hago referencia a la responsabilidad que tiene la FIFA en el proceso de elección de la sede del mundial.

En este capítulo te doy una actualización sobre mi proceso migratorio de Ecuador a Bélgica, luego de tener 6 meses viviendo aquí te cuento cuáles han sido las herramientas que me han servido para mantener la relación a distancia con mi familia y amigues en Ecuador. En este capítulo te cuento sobre mi proceso migratorio de Ecuador a Bélgica, desde una mirada muy vulnerable y honesta. Hago un recorrido en restrospectiva desde cómo tomé la decisión y todo lo que he tenido que pasar hasta el día de hoy. Migrar supone muchas pérdidas como la familia, amigxs, idioma, status, profesión y trabajo, todo eso tiene un impacto muy fuerte para nuestra salud mental y saber sobrellevar el duelo migratorio es fundamental para lograr en un futuro una adapción sana.
En este capítulo conversé con Isabela Chávez sobre cómo (re)conectar con nuestra menstruación que es "un proceso sagrado de limpieza física pero también energética."
Hicimos un recorrido por las diferentes fases que tiene el ciclo menstrual e Isa nos explicó sobre cada una ella enfocándose en qué, cómo y por qué nos sentimos diferentes en cada etapa. También nos da consejos y recomendaciones para poder sacarle provecho a esas fases y sentirnos más conectades con nuestro ciclo menstrual.

En este capítulo conversé son Karo Sotomayor de Blot, un emprendimiento ecuatoriano de ropa interior menstrual reutilizable, y hablamos sobre la menstruación desde nuestra experiencia personal sin vergüenza y sin tabú.
Hicimos un recorrido desde el primer día que nos llegó la menstruación hasta cómo nos sentimos hoy que ya somos adultas. También conversamos sobre los eufemismos con los que conocemos a la menstruación y ¿por qué nos cuesta llamarla por su nombre?.

En este capítulo conversé con la abogada Belén Aguinaga, profesora de Derechos Humanos en la Universidad San Francisco de Quito sobre los avances y desafíos en materia de Derechos Humanos en el Ecuador. Hicimos un recorrido por los últimos años de la realidad del país y tocamos temas como las sentencias de la Corte Constitucional sobre el matrimonio entre parejas del mismo sexo, la despenalización del aborto por violación, el uso de la fuerza por parte de la Policía Nacional; y también, sobre la migración y el trato humano y digno que debe existir por parte del Estado y la sociedad hacia lxs migrantes.
