If you plan to fly overseas in 2022 or 2023, the airports are relative adventures.
In this episode, I give you three tips to help you on your next international flight. Traveling these days is different than in the past. Even during Covid, before Covid, nothing is like traveling these days. I talk about U.S. Customs lines, how booking sites screw up layover times, and how being nice to airport employees will pay off.

There is no city like Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The "Meeting of Cultures" label is accurate. In this episode, I talk about my few days in Sarajevo. You'll hear everything from bullet holes in buildings, to magnificent cable car views of the city. Also, you'll hear about the girls, the food, and the culture. With Muslims, Christians, and Jews all living together, it really is an amazing place. Finally, I talk about all of the tourist attractions that I saw while I was there.

As we end 2021, I thought I’d share what I’ve learned this past year. As always, it’s not about me, but what I learned that could help you when traveling. The list is in no particular order, and most of my thoughts come out of my trip to Ukraine this past summer. You'll hear about what it's like to travel during Covid, how much my Russian has improved (or not), and finally, a few book recommendations.

Take More Vacations by Scott Keyes is the best book I’ve read in a while. In this episode, I share with you what I’m taking from this book for my next trip. There are many helpful tips in the book. However, the life-changing point is to reverse your travel planning. Plan your trip with the price in mind first, then destination and dates. Most people do it the other way around – Destination and date first, then try to find a cheap flight. In other words, the flexible traveler can always find cheap flights!
I love this book. Get it here if you want: https://amzn.to/3ok50SF

If you're bored with your life, travel! In this episode, I tell a crazy story about my flight from Kharkiv, Ukraine to Odessa, Ukraine. This was not an ordinary flight. Also, you'll hear again about what I think of Ukrainians. Hint, it's good. Also, I talk about how a girl may start off not liking you, then 2 hours later, like you. This episode is the same story I've been telling all of my friends since I got back from Ukraine.

One of the most important decisions you need to make when traveling solo is what part of town should you get your Airbnb or Hotel. In this episode, I tell you where you should get your hotel/Airbnb in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odessa. I went to these cities this past July. You’ll hear my unconventional take on where to stay in the summer destination of Odessa, where to stay on Sumska Street in Kharkiv, and why everyone’s first trip to Ukraine should be to Kyiv. Ukraine is a great place to visit.
