I enjoyed this book. I have been using it as a reference to find black artists new to me and learn more about the ones I do know. The art in this book is from the time frame of 1963 - 1983. Many of the artists in this book were very young during this period and wanted to create art that is true, innovative, and still reflect the times they were living in. They addressed many topics like black feminism, AfriCobra, social justice, music, black empowerment, the art world, history, etc. I highly recommend this book.

Hey guys here is my coffee table book review of Black Panther: The Revolutionary Art of Emory Douglas.
I've checked out and read this book a couple of times and didn't realize I haven't did a review of it. I really didn't know what to say because the book does a really great job of taking about his personal life, his art, and running the Black Panthers newspaper. I loved all the artwork and the stories behind what inspired them. I wish he would come out with another book with all the artwork he created I know he got enough for one more.
