Bill Hayes is a writer & photographer. A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, Hayes is the author of seven books, including Insomniac City, How We Live Now: Scenes from the Pandemic, & his most recent book, SWEAT: A History of Exercise, a narrative non-fiction look at exercise from antiquity to the present. Hayes’ photography credits include portraits of his late partner Dr. Oliver Sacks which appear in the volume of Dr. Sacks’ suite of final essays, Gratitude, as well as exhibitions at the Steven Kasher Gallery & The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), New York City.
