Somebody You Love

Pomma Granet, also known as Blair Bishop, also known as OnlyPomma, Juicy Pomma, Succubus Slut, and a host of other usernames given how many times they’ve had accounts deleted, is a New York-based full service sex worker, adult content creator, BDSM & fetish provider, cammer, and much more.

Blair describes themselves as a bit of a nerd - they love video games, cosplay, anime, crafting, and alternative fashion and they are often traveling the country for anime conventions. They also spend a lot of their time online yelling into the void about sex worker’s rights and thus they fit right in here!

CW: Stalking, harassment, sexual assault

Welcome to part 2, and apologies for the darkness of these episodes! This time Holly & Jenna each share another story of stalking/harassment, as well as talk about the red flags they’ve learnt to watch out for, parasocial relationships, hitting on people at work, and female perpetrators.

CW: Stalking, harassment, sexual assault, animal death. We use the term “grandfathered” in this episode. We understand this term has very racist origins, and we apologise for the mistake. A better term would have been “legacy rates”

While we are not more likely to be victims of violence because we sell sex, we are more likely to be victims of violence because people think the fact that we sell sex makes us less than human. Which is the whole reason this podcast exists. Today Holly & Jenna are each sharing one of the more harrowing experiences they have had in this industry.

Dr Hilary Caldwell has been a sex worker for over 20 years and decided to come out of hiding to publish her first book. She is an academic with a Masters in Health Science and Applied Science. Her doctorate, ‘Women Who Buy Sex in Australia’ was the first study in the world to explore women buying sexual services and was informed by her sex work and professional career in the field of sexology. She is kinky and queer, a mother and grandmother. Dr Caldwell has recently released her first book, Slutdom, which argues convincingly and passionately for women’s enjoyment of sex as a force to advance gender equality. Delving into topics such as pleasure, pain, empowerment, and including real women’s stories and saucy tips, we are welcoming Dr Caldwell on the show to discuss her research, the Slutdom movement and her experiences as an academic and secret sex worker.

How do I ask how recently they were tested for STIs? How do I ask for us to do something different this time? What if I get down there and it smells really bad? Holly & Jenna give you tips on how to tackle tricky topics and sticky subjects. They also answer the listener question “Is there room for older ladies to succeed in SW?”

Michael (he/him), and Louise (she/her) both lost their “virginity” to sex workers and they’ve both agreed to share their stories on the show! *Virginity is a social construct, but we talk about that more in the episode.

Yep, this week we are mining reddit for content. We read out the SW-related stories of contributors to /r/AITA and decide if we think:

• NTA (not the arsehole)
• YTA (you are the arsehole)
• NAH (no arseholes here)
• ESH (everyone sucks here)
