Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security is taking a break from helping Secretary Kristi Noem (better known as ICE Barbie) live out her military cosplay dreams to consider a reality show pitch. The American, brought to you by writer and producer Rob Worsoff, would pit immigrants against each other in a competition for fast-track citizenship. Yes, we have officially reached the dystopian stage where immigration policy is being developed as primetime television.

And in legislative nonsense news, Texas Republicans are trying to ban “non-human behavior” in schools. That’s right—they’re coming for dress-up days. Because apparently, children pretending to be animals for fun is the real problem.

Finally, Montana has become the first state in the U.S. to legally sanction itself as a playground for experimental medical treatments. Because nothing screams “this will end well” like throwing regulations out the window and hoping for the best.
