In this episode of The JCast Journey, host Darone Ruskay talks about his recent experience editing an episode of WORD, Amichai Lau-Lavie’s weekly podcast in which in one episode Amichai did not end with his traditional “Shalom”.

Darone talks about how he felt a bit like a torah scholar of old who read into texts from what was and what was not on the page, and assumed that the lack of “Shabbat Shalom” was a statement that Amichai was not feel particularly festive or hopeful as he prepared to enter Shabbos. When Darone checked with Amichai, he found that this may not have been the case. Listen to the full episode for the story.
