La novela "Del color de la leche" de la novelista y dramaturga Nell Leyshon ha sido un éxito literario por dos razones, la primera, su gran calidad literaria, una escritura en apariencia sencilla pero llena de complejidad, de "trucos" narrativos, la segunda, su capacidad para meternos en la piel de Mary, la narradora protagonista, de emocionarnos con su historia. La novela recibió en el año 2014 el premio a la mejor novela del año por el gremio de libreros de Madrid.
