Last week, Sarah attended a wedding with her friends Logan Grubbs (a priest) and Blake McIver (an actor). When the wedding was finished, Sarah recorded conversations with them about what it looks like to maintain a sense of worth, when everything in our culture is fighting against that very idea.
Then, Sarah decided to catch up with her best friend John. As always, John provided a listening ear as Sarah talked through some of her current fears and struggles, and in turn, John - like the great life coach that he is - gave Sarah all the wisdom.
Wherever you are in this journey of life, be encouraged and know you’re not alone. You matter. You have worth. And you are loved.
You can follow Logan on Instagram and Twitter, and you can see what movies Blake has been in, and then follow him on Instagram and Twitter.

Jeffrey Lawler is many things…an athlete, spartan warrior, former trainer, theologian and entrepreneur. But he’s also someone who deeply believes in the importance of taking sabbatical time, especially when it comes to social media and technology.
Earlier this year, Jeffrey turned off his phone and didn’t pick it back up for thirty days! So in this conversation, Sarah and Jeffrey dig into the importance of going on social media fasts, and why doing this consistently is part of the way that Jeffrey has chosen to live his life.

Brady Smith is an actor, a husband (to Tiffany Thiessen), a father (to a daughter and a son), and a friend to Sarah. So in this episode, Sarah and Brady talk about life, work and why spending time with your family is better than anything.
Throughout the conversation you’ll hear Sarah and Brady talk about the importance of putting family first, meeting (and dating) someone who might seem intimidating, how Brady got his start in acting, how Brady and Tiffani first got together, finding someone who loves you for being you...not for what you’ve done, making space for the work your significant other is doing, navigating social media as a “public family,” online dating (is it “Bumble" or “Bubble"??), and the little things that make all the difference in a relationship.

When Sarah asked her health coach, Bethany Wood, to be on this episode, she had no idea that it would result in an agreement to go on a social media cleanse. But that’s exactly what happened.
And now…Sarah is questioning her decision to ever start a podcast. One week with NO social media?
But there’s a reason Bethany challenged Sarah to go dark on social media for a week (it all started after watching the “Nosedive” episode of Black Mirror). And now, Sarah wants YOU to join her on this cleanse. Are you in? Here are the rules:
For the week after this episode airs (May 1 - May 7), commit to no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or any other social media. You can still email, text, listen to podcasts and use the internet in general.
But we recommend that you either delete the social media apps from your phone for the week, or just do whatever you can to make the apps less accessible and tempting. Also, turn off all social media notifications and alerts on your phone, iPad or watch so they don’t distract you or make you tempted to check them.
You can use the hashtag #sonderlustcleanse when you post your last social media post before going dark, and when the cleanse is done, Sarah and Bethany would love to hear about your experience and what you got out of it.
This is going to be fun! (At least that’s what Sarah keeps telling herself…)
If you’d like to connect with Bethany, email her at [email protected]
