Sandy Yang is one of my oldest friends (in terms of having known each other - not age haha). She is an artist, graphic designer, singer, guitarist, drummer and all around stand-up person. Her work with The Red Krayola, Lady Noise and on her own is innovative, thought-provoking and unique and her musical taste is as broad and eclectic as can be making her the perfect first guest for the new format of SFTF.
Sandy gave me five songs to check out:
"Ark of the Covenant" by The Congos
"Final Day" by Young Marble Giants
"Sketch for Summer" by The Durutti Column
"Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" by Ryuichi Sakamoto
"Clear Vision" by L-Seven
I also provided her with a song for us to discuss:
"Clean Up Woman" by Betty Wright
Hope you enjoy the songs and our conversation.
