Dense in the head

It is not easy to forgive Ted Hughes. But the man suffered enough. I fell in with the crow anthology in college and here is one of his poems

I felt a Funeral, in my Brain,

And Mourners to and fro

Kept treading - treading - till it seemed

That Sense was breaking through -
