Episode 84 of The Big Event is a tribute to the Sony Metreon, the 1999 mall that was supposed to redefine the urban entertainment experience, but failed within a few years. Host Peter Hartlaub is joined by San Francisco Chronicle Food editor Paolo Lucchesi (a teen who visited the Metreon in 1999) and Chronicle urban design critic John King (who wrote about it during its launch).
