That's right 3/4 of the crew are BACK. And ready to get back to reviewing movies before the end of the year. Since it's Christmas time, we are reviewing some movies that are outside of the box. So we are going for movies set during Christmas but not about Christmas. SO Christmastime movies that aren't about Christmas. First on the chopping block is Batman Returns! We talk all about how we think this fits in the pantheon of Comic Book movies and how we feel the actors did with the characters they were given! Ya know, sometimes you just gotta hang out and chat about stuff. Which is what we did last week, go watch that, even though I put it up late. But this week, we got down to the nitty gritty. We sat around and discussed how we would attack December. Since it's the holidays we needed to really plan ahead! Like the title says, we didn't really do a movie this week. Just kinda wanted to hang out and a talk for a bit. So Alex, Eric and I just sat down and just talked about stuff. The team really felt like this was the perfect movie to end out the Halloween season. Not because it's the scariest, or the most gruesome, but because it touches on an underrated holiday in Día de Muertos. Not everyone was available/feeling well enough to travel through the beautiful world of the Land of the Dead. But Eric and Joey came together to reexperience and learn a lot about the holiday and movie alike. So make sure you listen in and stick around because we have a lot to say about Coco! It has been a good and spicy Hispanic Heritage Month here at Sooner or Later TV. That meant we decided to put up 4 movies directed/lead/written/edited by people of Hispanic descent and boy o boy it was a ride. From the fantastically gory movies of Robert Rodriguez, to the supernatural horror of Paco Plaza. Since we did two Rodriguez movies back to back we did two Plaza movies back to back. So the boys and Alex hitch a ride to Spain again, this time Madrid, to see just how scary the "Scariest Netflix Movie EVER" really is.
