Today in Washington, DC the president has assumed the role of rescuing the nations capital from bloodshed, squalor, and rampant drug use.
By invoking Sect 740 of the DC home rule act, the DCMPD is now officially under direct federal control. Blaming the abject failure of city govt, Donald Trump has said that it is now time for federal intervention of street policing.
Today’s message from the presidential press conference was: “We see you, we’re watching you, & we’re gonna change the law to catch you.” https://grindstoneuniversal.com/

Recently in the WNBA, fans have been throwing sex toys onto the court during the games. This can be seen as extreme misogyny and derogatory behavior to denigrate women who are in a professional environment. Understandably, this action can be seen as irresponsible and mean without any redeeming value.
On the other hand, there is a bright side held within this teachable moment. Will the WNBA find the silver lining of this media spotlight? Will this become a partnership with groups who support the sexual and personal expression of women?
There are always multiple ways to view shocking moments.

This weekend a new term was introduced into the lexicon of dating. The word is heterofatalism. It is the nihilistic behavior of women who are heterosexual yet tired of men’s dating behavior.
What are they to do? Perhaps there’s room for alternative perspectives to reach the lonely. On this episode of “Sorry for My Language” I entertain various perspectives as well as one newly found unlikely couple, Deion Sanders and Karrueche.

he battle between the Mexican population in California and the U.S. government is rooted in colonial conquest, broken treaties, racial injustice, land theft, and ongoing systemic discrimination. It is a long history of resistance, resilience, and a fight for justice and recognition in a land that was once part of Mexico.

Starting a YouTube channel has several advantages for everyone. Video journaling offers several unique advantages over traditional written or audio journaling. Here are the key benefits of recording your thoughts on video regularly:
1. Emotional Expression & Clarity • Facial expressions and tone capture emotion more vividly than writing. • Helps you see and hear your true emotional state, which can be revealing and therapeutic.
2. Self-Awareness & Personal Growth • Watching past videos provides insight into how you’ve grown emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. • You can recognize patterns in your thinking and behavior over time.
3. More Natural for Some People • If you find writing tedious or unnatural, speaking your thoughts may feel easier and more authentic. • It allows free-flowing expression without the pressure to edit or structure your thoughts.
4. Improved Communication Skills • Regular speaking practice helps you articulate thoughts more clearly and confidently. • You may become more comfortable with public speaking, storytelling, or expressing yourself in conversations.
5. Time-Efficient • Talking is often faster than writing. • Great for capturing fleeting thoughts or emotions in the moment.
6. Visual Memory Aid • Seeing yourself at different points in time creates a rich archive of memory—not just what you said, but how you looked and felt. • Helpful in tracking changes in mood, health, or life circumstances.
7. Potential for Creative Use • Can be repurposed later for personal projects (e.g., documentaries, memoirs, art). • Inspires creative storytelling or visual expression.

People need people. Make a friend of yours a good friend and separate them from mere associates. There is a huge difference. Distinguish friends from good friends, then recruit people who show potential of being good people for you.
Spend more quality time with those who are your friends by actually connecting with them when you are around them.
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is a daring foray into supernatural horror, set against the backdrop of 1930s Mississippi. With Michael B. Jordan delivering a dual performance as twin brothers Elijah “Smoke” and Elias “Stack,” the film intertwines themes of Black identity, family legacy, and the American dream through a unique blend of crime and vampire horror. The narrative follows Smoke and Stack, World War I veterans returning to Clarksdale, Mississippi, with aspirations of opening a juke joint. Their dreams are shattered when a vampire named Remmick arrives, turning Stack and others into vampires. The ensuing chaos leads to a climactic confrontation where Smoke sacrifices himself to destroy the vampires and protect their young cousin, Sammie. A mid-credits scene fast-forwards to 1992, revealing an aged Sammie, now a renowned blues musician, being visited by the immortal Stack and Mary. They offer him eternal life, which he declines, choosing instead to continue his musical journey. Michael B. Jordan’s portrayal of both Smoke and Stack is a standout, showcasing his range and depth as an actor. Coogler’s direction brings a fresh perspective to the horror genre, blending historical realism with supernatural elements to explore complex themes. Sinners delves into the complexities of Black identity, cultural appropriation, and historical trauma. The use of vampirism serves as a metaphor for exploitation and the erasure of Black culture. Sammie’s musical gift, which allows him to connect with ancestral spirits, symbolizes the enduring power of cultural heritage. The film’s cinematography captures the essence of the 1930s South, with atmospheric lighting and period-accurate set designs. The soundtrack, featuring blues and jazz influences, complements the narrative and enhances the emotional resonance of the story.

Listening to your body and mind can be confusing. Which one overrides the other? I think the body/mind conversation should be an internal dialogue rather than simply an old adage.
