Matthew knows what it is to be lost, and so in his gospel he tells the story of how Jesus found him. And Matthew’s story is our story. For even those who seem put together are, in fact, broken without the Lord. So we lay our broken efforts aside, find the Lord where we are, rise and follow him to new life.
