What does recovery mean to you, and what are we all recovering FROM?
This open-hearted question leads the pod's spirit of inquiry into a sensitive conversation about healing trauma with special guest and IFS Practitioner Bill Tierney. Bill shares his personal hero's journey from addiction to recovery, opening up about his crisis of faith as a young man, his multiple marriages, and his past problem with alcohol. Through the work of Byron Katie, Bill gained insight into his suffering, learned how to re-frame his thoughts, and started healing. The work inspired him to study internal family systems. Now, over 40 years sober, Bill practices IFS therapy and helps others on their healing journeys.

Quote by Lawrence Pearsall Jacks: "A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself he always appears to be doing both.”
