JUMPING THE GAP radio show 29th May 2019 with DJ PARIS GROOVESCOOTER & special guests PHIL TOKE (SOUL OF SYDNEY) & VINCENT SEBASITIAN (OYOBI)

Electro Funk, Disco, House & Gospel | Terrence Parker Live at Soul of Sydney 2014

We recently unearthed this rare gem from the archives — a long-lost recording discovered on an old hard drive, and we couldn't keep it to ourselves.

Detroit Gospel Godfather Terrence Parker (TP) laid down one of the most memorable sets we've ever witnessed, performing live at Soul of Sydney in 2014 — a sprawling, high-energy outdoor courtyard session that ran for over 3+ hours.

This was hands-down one of the parties of 2014 for us, and honestly? The recording doesn't even do it justice. You had to be there.

What to expect from this set:

Terrence Parker came locked and loaded with serious FUNK, showcasing his full arsenal — cutting, juggling, scratching, and seamless mixing across a wildly eclectic selection that moved through Classic Disco, Raw Funk, Soul, Arabic Breaks, and the deep, spiritual Gospel House he is globally renowned for. Over three hours, TP took the crowd on a journey that only a selector of his calibre could navigate.

About Terrence Parker:

A true pioneer and icon of the Detroit House Music scene, Terrence Parker has been a driving force in Gospel House, Deep House, and Soulful House music for decades. His DJ style is rooted in the golden era of vinyl — technical, expressive, and deeply soulful.
