Greg has lived with the Brazilian Yawanawa for over 3 years. This is a small indigenous tribe who live in a community village deep within the amazon rainforest.

They are greatly connected to nature and still honour and practice their ancient traditions passed down from countless generations.

On the podcast, Greg discussed how the tribe inspired James Cameron's infamous Avatar Movies, how he ended up living and traveling the world with the tribe, and the story of a tragic event that almost wiped the tribe out in the 1950s.

Greg shares incredible stories about their culture, wisdom, and the differences between their lives and our western lives. The conversation gives you a real insight into what we might be missing in the western world that will light a spark inside you.

The Yawanawa will be at our festival in June with Ronna, the tribe leader's son, Greg, and a few other members. They will be sharing their ancient ceremonies, practices, and traditions as well as performing their music live on the main stage. We are honoured to have them with us.

This Was An Emotional One!

Whilst talking about fatherhood and what it means to us, we were both in tears. I’ve hosted around 30 podcasts in my time and this is the first time the guest and I have both been tearing up. This guy truly has a huge heart and lives up to his name ‘The Heart Shaman’.

I really enjoyed every minute of this conversation. We talked about Ryan’s traumatic start to life, including being pronounced dead during his birth and losing his father to prison very early on. We then discussed how this helped shape him as a person and in particular how it shaped him as a shaman and healer.

We delved into Ryan’s time in Bolivia working closely with shamans and plant medicine including some stories that put me on the edge of my seat. He’s an excellent storyteller.

I’m barely scratching the surface here. Watch/listen to the podcast to connect with this wise, heart-centered, local man.

Andrea is a Sound Healer who channels tones and frequencies through her voice, as well as using instruments such as crystal singing bowls.

She intuitively tunes into the energy of the group to create a totally unique and deeply healing experience for the listener. These sound frequencies help to clear any blocks in your energetic field, soothe the nervous system and raise your vibration by stimulating the feel-good chemicals in the brain.

It was an honour to have the incredibly wise, grounded, humble, experienced and multi-talented Ben Calder on our podcast today.

There is so much inspiring, empowering, and uplifting information from this conversation, I feel that Ben really encompasses our festival tagline. We discussed his fascinating life story, a brief introduction to kinesiology as well as how and why Ben will be rubbing shoulders with Wim Hof, Vandana Shiva, and Russell Brand this summer. We also chatted about traveling and the valuable life lessons we've been fortunate enough to take from our time overseas.

We went on to talk about the political landscape and how our current system is not supportive of good physical or mental health to say the least. In addition to that, Ben advocated for empowering ourselves and focusing on our response to the outside world rather than simply hoping the outside world will change in our favour.

In this podcast, I had the privilege of connecting with singer-songwriter and fellow introvert Aayushi.

Aayushi is a soulful, poetic, folk singer from the West Midlands who has grown a large following, with one of her songs on Spotify gathering almost 5 million plays. She is performing at both our Himley Hall and Campout events this year! 😄

On Friday I had the pleasure of chatting to Andrea Proffitt. Andrea is a 432hz Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Practitioner, Breath Coach as well as an Event, workshop & retreat facilitator.

She has vast experience in the wellness space and an adventurous spiritual path, including spending two and half years with various tribes in South and Central America. She has also had a long journey and relationship with sound, having managed bands and organised festivals before becoming a singing bowl practitioner. We discuss this and more on the podcast.
