Look, I know we already know we're spending too much time scrolling our phones, watching tv/Netflix/etc, especially when we have a desire and a knowing that there's more to life. We know we're giving too much of our energy away, giving too much of our time away to so many things that don't align with why we came here in the first place.

 

But knowledge and action are two different things. I offer you this message (that is also a message for myself, as is often the case!) and hope that it gives you the fire, the motivation, and the kick in the pants you need to get up and go do the damn thing.

 

We need to stop waiting for someone else to show us what to do, stop waiting for yet another sign when we already know our own answers, and go create, do and be who we came here to be!

I had a limiting belief pop up in a way that surprised me the other day, and it gave me some more answers around bringing more joy and enthusiasm...and PERMISSION back into my life.

 

More often than not, we really are the one limiting ourselves, regardless of what outside circumstances are. Things definitely happen that we have no control over (although there's also a bigger perspective to consider around that), but we always have a choice in how we respond.

 

So it's up to ourselves to notice and let go of our limiting beliefs--have FAITH and dream BIGGER!

I had a different topic in mind when I sat down to record, but my higher self had other plans as I pulled cards from my new Oracle card deck (Soul Coaching by Denise Linn).

 

I'm no astrology expert, but I know Mercury Retrograde messes with things like communication and technology, and when it happens during Aries season (a fiery sign dealing with communication and action), a Venus Retrogade (supposedly affects relationships), and eclipse season (can bring major life changes), we could be in for a lot.

 

But if you've been here, you know me--I'm here to bring the light, not wallow in gloom and doom. Your energy is YOUR energy, and it's possible to override anything going on outside of you. However, this spiritual journey is ongoing, so it can be rather difficult to force any overrides.

 

So what's most likely to happen is you figuring out how to work WITH the energy you're feeling from all of this. Today's card reading tells us what is blocking us from moving forward (and the whole reason for me talking about this topic today), how to heal that block, and what is waiting for us on the other side of doing that inner work.

Spoiler alert: I don't believe the movie "The Matrix" is a true documentary--I believe there's a spiritual war going on but it doesn't look like that. "Waking up," going through a spiritual awakening, etc can make you feel a lot of things, but it's not a bunch of darkness and doom and gloom and needing to rescue people like the movie.   Maybe you've heard people talk about "breaking out of the matrix." Basically you're going on your spiritual journey, typically feeling closer to God, and you essentially start to see through many of the things that held you back from growth and success and happiness.   But many who say we need to break out of the matrix position it as an all-or-nothing kind of situation, as if once you start "waking up," it's your duty to fully break free of all things 3D, stop making or spending money, even stop enjoying things like movies and music that once brought you joy.   Naturally, I have a different perspective. If you've been here a while, you've heard me touch on this many times--that we're human on purpose and it's okay to enjoy being here and acting like a human. 😁   So how do we balance that while on our spiritual journey?   As usual, I don't claim to have all the answers or even any right answers, so let's just grab another cup of coffee and talk. ☕😎

Today's podcast episode is a reframing of what it means to be the one to break the cycle...   Maybe you've felt like the black sheep, a bit of an outsider, different from everyone else, leading you to believe you're the one meant to break a certain pattern or cycle in your family/lineage.

 

You know why you're the one who's here to break all the cycles and generational curses?

 

Because you applied for the job--congratulations, you were chosen!

 

Maybe you're breaking a cycle of abuse or abandonment, or maybe it's something lighter yet still important like a cycle of a lack mindset or an inability to accept love and abundance.

 

It's hard work, and it can be scary to be the one going first to forge a new path. But in today's episode, I want to help you reframe it from being a burden to being something to be grateful for.

It's time to stop comparing yourself to others. In all ways.

 

Sure, we can say the phrase "comparison is the thief of joy," because it certainly is. But that's also because it dims your light.

 

It's time to refocus and remember that doing your own inner work is the absolute best and most important thing you can do to help the collective in the long term.

 

We'll also talk about why you're likely an empath and why that's something to be proud of!
