Lately, I’ve been contemplating radical responsibility, as inspired by Deb D ⭐️ The Intuitive HERoine.
For me, I feel and sense this radical responsibility like an inner call, like a tug on my heartstrings, like a kick in the pants. Radical responsibility is like a deep inner wellspring of motivation. It's that wellspring of hydration that Intuition and Spirit offers to pour over us.
We need hydration from intuition, and we are hungry, starving, for pleasure and enjoyment and fun. We don’t need another list of 10 things to do. We need to take up space. We need to give ourselves permission. We need to do life. The age of the guru is dead.
I feel this radical responsibility that I simply cannot remain small. There is so much in my Human Design chart which is bigger than me. And I am excited and I am curious and I am full of anticipation to see where it leads.
But it doesn’t always feel like expansion. Sometimes it can feel like constriction and anxiety.
In this episode, I share how the ineligibility for a boudoir photo shoot giveaway brought me down a dark hole of panic, and then how I was able to find my way back.
This episode was recorded on Friday, September 25, 2026.
I really enjoyed recording this episode. I am experiencing the culmination of my life lessons adding up and finally leading to insight.
I’ve been sitting with a question from a Substack from since March:
“Living online kills my feminine soul and my vibrant health. It could be the age difference because each generation is born better able to adapt; but all the articles about the feminine soul don’t apply to me as i struggle to find a way to support myself and still be ME. There is only the computer now, pressure to put out “content” and “offers”, and endless tech i don’t understand and pay tech people dearly to set up and patrol. WHAT words of wisdom can you offer?”
My first instinct was to list out all the woo woo, witchy ways to ground ourselves and minimize the electro-magnetic waves in our homes and bio-hack our nervous systems and essential oils and crystals and ALL THE THINGS.
Then I realized, one truth is at the bottom. Take everything away and what are you left with: yourself. And isn’t it just too easy to say that all we have to do is listen to ourselves? But it’s true.
Listen or read along as I dive into that answer.
As I study and flow to embody the divine feminine, I am noticing that SHE is asking us to let go - to release our tight-assed ways and expand. In this episode I share about areas of my life where I was rigid and self-repressed and how I began to move into expansion and release.
Repression has been the single greatest tool to undermine the thriving possibility of women. We have been taught to repress our anger, to repress our desire, to repress our arousal, to repress our expression, even our need for rest has been repressed. Join me as I chat about these "undesirable" or hysterical emotions.
My mom read one of the articles I wrote for our local city magazine and confronted me about the content because I used a bunch of astrology and pagan terms she's never heard of and never mentioned Jesus or God once. I cried after I got off the phone with her. I cried because I felt guilt that I didn't have this conversation with her sooner. Her biggest fear is that her grandson (my son) is going to hell because he doesn't have a relationship with Jesus and doesn't know Jesus as his savior. I was not at peace after the phone call. And I hope she is open to more conversation on the subject.
This episode is what I might have said to my mother, if I had sent a letter. Recorded Friday, March 27 while in the bath tub, sipping rum.
I had the most incredible conversations this week with Lisa Sibbett (who writes The Auntie Bulletin), Sara Sadek (who writes Folkweaver), and Ganga Devi Braun (who writes The Living World). These conversations remind me again and again how important it is to embody the divine feminine; to be relational and not transactional. Join me as I chat about the challenges of finding housing, and the need for a relational, organic approach to community building, contrasting it with the transactional nature of modern life.
Shout out to my other Projectors! Maïlys Ray, Kim Bradley, Claire Venus ✨, Layla O'Mara - may you gain insight into your own journey through my story (not that you need more insight as you may be experts on your own Human Design already!).

I’ve had a lot going on lately, and I find it therapeutic to speak it out loud. Here’s the TLDR version (or too long, didn’t listen):
I talk about a Reiki session which led me to create this podcast in the first place.
I talk about my corporate job and how steady and intense it’s been.
I talk about noticing at the beginning of April that I had gained some weight and my body was feeling bulky and receiving that as a message and doing some deep inner personal work around my perspectives on food and sleep, as well as doing research on what I’m eating and how I’m moving, to change up my routine to honor what my body is asking for.
AND I talk about my book and some of the challenges I’ve come across in writing it, as well as some recent inspiration.
AND I talk about Human Design and how understanding myself better has led to more aligned action. I am a Projector in Human Design. Projectors are all non-sacral beings due to our sacral centers being undefined. All Projectors also have the same Strategy, which is waiting for the invitation. Then there’s Authority. I have a Solar Plexus or Emotional Authority, meaning I need to wait until I have neutral emotion before making decisions. I have 4/6 Profile lines, which, for writing, Kat River had these recommendations:
The 4/6 profile is the Heart-Centered Role Model. You’re here to influence through intimacy and lead by living, not preaching. You're naturally magnetic in your community, and over time you become someone people deeply trust, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re real, steady, and have been through it.
This is the profile of someone who’s here for the long game.
Line 4 (Opportunist): You create through connection. your power is relational. People trust you through word of mouth, mutual friends, real-life connection, and emotional resonance. You don’t “market” so much, you ripple out with your essence.
Lline 6 is the role model and your life moves from 0-30 yrs old as a trial and error phase. then 30-50 observing your life/patterns and assessing. then 50+ being the role model. Think elder in a community energy kind of thing. People come to you and seek wisdom due to your lived experience.
Together, you’re someone who becomes deeply influential, but not by pushing but by living beautifully, vulnerably, and authentically.
Short-formYes, but not for virality. Use reels/stories to nurture connection, not chase attention. Think: warm voice, storytelling, value-driven “friend to friend” energy.
Long-form is perfect. Very powerful. especially for memoir-style storytelling, reflective teachings, and gentle wisdom. Great for podcasts, Substack, or intimate blog posts.
If you’re interested in your own writing style as defined by your Human Design Profile lines, you can read through the Note here.
I also mention Astrology. In my birth chart, my Sun is in Leo (fire), my Moon is in Gemini (air) and my Rising Sign (although I didn’t talk about it in this podcast episode) is in Scorpio.
Do you know your Human Design profile? What insights has this provided to you life? Can’t wait to learn more about you! Add your in the comments!
What I love about this episode are all the small glimpses into my life as a witch. And I don’t mean Hollywood’s green-skinned version. I mean witch as the woman who is in right relationship with all of creation - the moon, the stars, and the earth. I mention astrology and my birth chart. I mention the changing of the seasons and honouring the slowing of fall.
One thing I remembered after I recorded the episode is a lesson I learned after my dad’s passing. I used to have such a hard time listening to the advice of men because I always thought my dad was wrong. My husband re-framed the situation to me that the advice given was a man’s way of wanting to contribute value and it’s their way of connection.
Hope you enjoy the episode!
Yesterday (April 5), I had a womb connection session with Madison from Ode to Birth Doula Collective. This is the doula group I am a part of and these ladies fill my heart. What I love about womb sessions is the opportunity to have myself reflected back to me.
My dad passed Jan 1 this year. Grief has surprised me and pleased me in ways I have not heard anyone talk about before. It has painted the way I see the world and provided me the skill to be crystal clear about what no longer serves me or no longer brings me joy. Grief has been my ally to personally evolve and let go and move forward. It identifies what is of the utmost importance.
I booked this womb session with Madison because the womb is in the same body region of the hips and the hips is where we hold emotion. Do you hold emotion but don’t feel stiff hips? Your jaw mirrors your hips and has very similar muscles to your pelvic floor. A stiff jaw is a sign of pent up emotion. If you’re wondering what a womb session is, ask Madison!
