(Acts 5:32) Because the Holy Spirit is with us and in us, we can boldly proclaim the Good News about Jesus and not worry about the response of people. Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord, and humility comes before honor. (Proverbs 15:33) It's foolish to try to make a name for yourself or to aim for success apart from God. Seek the Lord and follow His will and the rest will follow.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. (Luke 9:24) Jesus knew how life works. It's not by trying to make it on your own. It's by surrendering your life to Jesus and following Him. That's how you experience real life.
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5) Once you understand how salvation works, you will begin to live your life differently.
