Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:1-2) Having close relationships with family and friends is a great blessing, but there are times when opening our hearts to others may result in even more blessings.

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28) Sharing the Gospel can result in persecution. Fear of people or pain can stop us from doing so. But there is only one to fear: God! Don't be afraid of anyone else.

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” (1 Corinthians 8:4) Until and unless you have recognized and believed that only Jesus is Lord, you cannot overcome the challenges and temptations of this life.

"Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me." (Psalm 119:133) This longing can only be fulfilled in Christ because only Jesus Christ was able to fulfill it. Thus, Jesus Christ living in me and you will fulfill this longing through the Holy Spirit.

"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." (John 7:38) This refers to the Holy Spirit who will indwell every believer so that he or she can experience manifest presence, power, and purpose of God through Jesus in his or her life. What an awesome blessing!
