Soul Care NotesEpisode 43: Joy After the Storm
Soulful Psalms of Summer Series
Psalm 30 reminds us that sorrow is not the end of the story.
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning—
sometimes slowly, sometimes quietly, but always faithfully.
This week, we’re doing something different.
Instead of hearing a reimagined psalm, you’ll be guided to write your own—
verse by verse—using a series of prompts inspired by Psalm 30.
You can write as you listen, or simply let the prompts settle in your heart and return to them later. We’ll still pray in the form of colloquy, inviting Jesus, Creator God, and a Wise Woman of Faith into the process with us.
Soul Care Invitation
Take what you’ve written and create a four-line psalm.
You can select your favorite lines from your journaling,
or write four new lines that rise from your reflection.
Don’t worry about being perfect—just be true.
Until next time, may God bless and keep you, may God’s face shine upon you, and may God grant you peace as you continue your SoulWork.
