This week Peter and Russell take a look at the history of the Olympic Games. Going all the way back to ancient Greece where the first games took place on Olympia to honour Zeus and all the other gods. We then take a look at the end of the ancient Olympic Games and explore the revival of the games into what we now refer to as the Modern Olympic Games. At one time we shared this planet with about 5 other "homo" species and we believe our human ancestry was made up of at least 14 other human species. This week Peter and Russell will take a look at our ancestral family tree and find out what other hominins lived before and while we were around. What did we share with them? What did we learn from them? and most important of all What happened to them and why are we the only one's left?

Did landing the first person on the Moon end the space race or were there other achievements to be had? The first space station, the first pictures and sounds from the surface of other planets, launching new space craft, space telescopes and probes sent to the outer solar system. This week Peter and Russell look at the developments after the Moon landing, the changes in the political climate the ongoing tensions of the cold war and the efforts to cooperate in space. It was just after World War II and the two biggest super-power's were battling it out to conquer space. Even though each side won various milestones along the way, this rivalry would eventually lead to cooperation. But before that happened, there were many mishaps and some unsolved mysteries.
