Recorded during a peak-time set before Solar at Braket and BodyHeat’s Antemortem rave, this over two hour session unfolds more like a single longform composition than a sequence of individual tracks. Leaning heavily into dub techno, it offered listeners a glimpse of a future imagined through the echoes of past industry—an idea mirrored by the rave's setting itself, a retired military barrack. Deep, squelchy textures, patient transitions, and restrained momentum create a cohesive, soft-hued arc that bridges breakbeats, techno, and 90's progressive, capturing both the spirit of the moment and an artist confidently coming into their own.

After a self care break here at Sound Coalitions, we're back! And we brought with us an opening club set by emerging Bay Area artist Clarity. Clarity(she/they/it)is a techno DJ originating from London, with current roots in the Bay Area. She engaged the art of DJing during the pandemic, doubling down on a deep love of the rave culture from her European home base. With this consolidation of passion and mixing, she's podcasted for stations across Europe and the world including FOLD, Instruments of Discipline, Erotic Sentimentalism, HRA Berlin, Dusk Records, Singularity LA, DaisyChain, Techno's Children, and Speedmaster Records. It is clear her sound resonates with the tastes of listeners, and this live recording can attest. Simply put, Clarity works with an undulating mix of tracks that are hard, fast, trippy and at times, perhaps spiritual to some ears. She is resident of London’s warehouse series @rave.signal and played for fabulous queer focused/friendly parties including @h_t_b_x @riposte.london @ggi.club @musa.platform @planetfunasmr @hedonistfest @she.they.dj

As one of the founding members of Fog City Pack, resident of San Francisco's monthly disco party DAD, and newest resident of one of SF’s longest running fetish nights, Stank, Joe Weidman (a.k.a. Jumpr) has spent the last several years striving to create unique, inclusive, exciting experiences for the SF queer and leather communities not just as a DJ but also as the Creative Director of Fog City Pack. He prides himself on being a dance floor filler, agnostic of genre, spinning everything from sweaty bathhouse disco to throbbing techno bangers. Jumpr wants to bring the rush and keep the energy ecstatic.

This mix is downright chunky-thick with it's build of heavy bass intertwined with 80's new wave selections. It lands as well crafted with basslines nicely pairing between tracks-a moment to breathe before the next chapter of seedy, bouncing rhythm. The reflection of community support Jumpr provides is evident with this sound- while not easily defined in sound per-say, it's certainly felt through every layer of latex, leather, and mesh from listeners.

The two are label owners of Front Left Records and are a techno power couple based in Berlin. They bring drive, energy & melodies to their sets which is indicative of influences from oldskool techno, trance, and acid.

The pair have multiple collaboration tracks which are out on Front Left. Since 2019, the couple have been playing together as a back2back act

as well as hosting the Front Left Showcase at HÖR Berlin. They have been working incredibly hard to push their unique sound which feels room filing, emotional, and raw. We foresee a bright future for them in the world of electronic music and techno.

What can you say about an artist who can blend 90's metal goth with early 80's lounge and make you want to dance to it? WHOA.

Kristian Moreno may simultaneously mix two tracks fine tuning the timing and beat sequence and oddly enough, not even GAF and make something sound amazing. This multidisciplinary artist specializes in an open format style when DJing but brings influence from their more than a decade long exposure to goth, punk, techno, and new wave. Their unique sound was developed in part by exposure of many kinds -experience of multiple cultures, a bit of drugs, a lot of music, and a general anti-status quo foundation. Having residencies across the Northern Californian cities and developing their radio podcast transmissions under the demonic-pseudonym “DJ BoogyFrights,” Moreno is continuing their growth in music and expression. They're also balancing cultivation of the band “Provoker” who just signed to “YEAR0001” from Scandinavia.

These original dynamics now known, Moreno's work speaks for itself and it is certainly an entertaining and well mixed hour ride. Thanks a lot Kristian; it is so good to see you develop as an artist and we know the next decade holds true promise to your craft.

We’ve been really enjoying getting to know Sharlese over the last few months. We first met her playing in San Francisco with Aurora Halal and have been obsessed ever since. Hailing from Seattle, Sharlese is a co-founder of FALSE PROPHET, a crew focused on post punk, coldwave, industrial, dark wave and minimal. She’s also a resident for the techno crew DEPTH while holding down a day job at the well-respected KEXP. Sharlese is a perfectionist and this mix shows off her impeccable song selection and technical skill. As she put it: “This one goes hard!” Enjoy!

Antonio Onio does what comes natural to him since he was little: he dances. With this strong internal drive, he moved his way into DJing and party production in Berlin in 2012. You can find his events at Wilde Renate Suicide Circus, Tresor, and IPSE; his residencies at Bushwig and Diskotheke Melancholie II. Eclectic, glamorous sounds galore, DANYB aka Danilo Braca knows beautiful music! Have you heard Danilo at NYC Standard's Le Bain nightclub? He's a regular there where he spins his signature sound: eclectic genres from around the world connected by the quality of their productions and his unique mixing. Music has always been a major part of Danilo’s life: his father was an avid record collector and a hifi enthusiast, an obvious influence on Danilo’s career path choice. He started DJing at parties in Italy in 1986 at the age of 13, and later worked as a sound engineer in music studios in Rome. 2012 Brought Danilo to NYC, where he founded The Sound of New York City, a web radio dedicated to the music from his adopted home, and a music production studio filled with vintage gear from his father’s collection. Since moving to the US, Danilo built a strong reputation as club DJ, known for his relentless energy, technical expertise and deeply eclectic music selection. It ranges from African rarities to Italo disco, all through the prism of classic old school sounds of Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and of course, New York. Starting in 2016 Danilo released five vinyl EP collections of DJ edits, including the acclaimed Busted series. His latest release, the original single “Oh My Lord” featuring Troy Mobiuscollective on saxophone, “Oh My Lord” comes with six exclusive remixes by a dream team of artists including DJ Spinna, DJ Nature, The Revenge, Ashley Beedle, DJ Rocca and Radius Etc.
