That’s why I reached out to personal branding expert, Petra Zink to see what her #1 lesson was on what she’d do differently with podcasting.
It comes down to specificity and removing any confusion to what you’re talking about.
Petra mentions that her current podcast ‘Your Brand, Your Future’ is on her third podcast and this one is delivering better results than the other because of this one change.

Isn’t it a weakness if you show vulnerability?
Like why would anyone want to shower a side that isn’t tough?

How hard exactly is it to create a podcast?
The short answer is, it's actually quite easy to create one!
The upfront cost of your microphone and maybe a few other items is the cheap part.
What it will cost you is your time.
And that’s why I asked my podcast network “if there was one thing you wish you knew about podcasting before you started, what would it be?”
And my podcaster friend, Mel Scott said she didn’t expect the technical barrier to be that hard to jump over, but more wishing she started earlier.
This is why I wanted to add her two cents on the question for you as a listener.

Business has felt like a bit of a rollercoaster lately.
Constantly questioning whether I’m enough.
And alot of it stems from imposter syndrome.
I’ve noticed that once I feel as if I’m an expert in a field, there’s a ton of expectation I carry because I need to know everything.
But it’s been a challenge and a learning experience knowing that it’s okay that I don’t know everything, and that I’m enough.

you can, and it’s called ‘content-based networking’.
it’s something Timmy Bauer utilised to leverage his guests to catapult his many podcasts.
also, this is the first episode where I have a ‘guest’ on without actually interviewing them…
stay tuned for many other podcasters in a future episode.
p.s. it’s ‘mental health month’ in Australia. don’t be ashamed if you have to reach out for help. it will only make you stronger.
