Founded in 1972 and rooted in nonviolence, peace, and civil rights, Creative Response to Conflict hopes to raise awareness among and provide information to Rockland residents on the history of and current movement for reparations and encourage action to end racism.
All are encouraged to attend this free event and participate in a discussion about issues that impact local communities. The event is on January 17. Welcome and screening is at 2pm followed by a discussion at 4pm. Registering one's name and email (at bit.ly/3GQJ8oo) is needed in order to receive the Zoom link.
Creative Response to Conflict has been at the forefront of conflict resolution education and providing training in bias awareness, anti-bias/anti-racism, mediation, and restorative practices. They work with educators, youth, community organizations, and with people in prison and in re-entry. CRC is planning a year of activities to highlight the value of constructive, creative tools for addressing conflict and preventing and repairing harm. Those interested in CRC's 50th anniversary activities can visit www.crc-global.org/50th throughout the year.
