Your Humble Host is happy to bring you Volume 133 of Sounds Like Radio. Today The Great Gildersleeve has been wanting to babysit the twins ever since Marjorie brought them home. Finally he convinces Marjorie & Bronco that they deserve a night out and that he and Leroy can easily handle watching those twin little babies. What could be easier, right? Hmm, well Gildy and little Leroy soon have their hands full and start looking for help from Peevy and any of Gildy's other Jolly Boy buddies.

Bing Crosby is back and in one of his funniest shows. From the Library of Sound (LOS) Volume 188 Your Humble Host brings you a Bing Crosby Chesterfield Show with Bing's special guest none other than his road partner BOB HOPE! Joining in is Brother Bob Crosby. It's Bobs Hope & Crosby today with Bing in a show originally broadcast January 10, 1951. The music is fine and the zingers are flying.

Your Humble Host returns to the Vast Library of Sound (LOS) and finds Volume 187--Bold Venture or as we know it best, BOOOOOLD Vennnturrre! Today Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall discover "That Gun Will Kill You" as it was originally broadcast on May 14, 1951.

Sounds Like Radio Volume 132 is here and now that Bronco is a new father he thinks he could be the man of the house. The Great Gildersleeve sees this and decides to let Bronco see what it is to be the new man of the house. From March 21, 1951 a fun episode from the The Great Gildersleeve with Richard Crenna as Bronco.

To help out the situation Your Humble Host is called into action and with him are Jaye P. Morgan, Bing Crosby, Kay Starr, Jimmy Dean with a little reminder for us, a Hi-Fi Andrew Sisters song, Burl Ives (he thinks he's a boss) & even Clint Eastwood makes our day as he stops by to sing a little ditty for us.

Your Humble Host thinks it's time to dip once again into his Jean Shepherd collection. From the Grab Bag of Shep tapes we emerge with a show I recorded on February 4, 1975. One of Shep's favorite topics, A Salute To Slob Art, Shep's own slob art possessions and even talks a bit about then President Nixon's resignation. Enjoy Inside Jean Shepherd from the Library of Sound Volume 186.

I used to tape these shows 2 sometimes even 4 times a week. I'd listen to the show the next day then I'd erase and record over that tape with the next Shep show. Unfortunately I didn't figure out that I should be saving these tapes and not taping over them till after about a year. Oh so many shows that were erased and taped over, I guess as a kid then I figured it was too expensive to keep buying more tapes. Oh well, at least I did start saving them and now thanks to that I can play these tapes for you now. Don't worry there are still a lot more tapes to go. Enjoy them all here on the Library of Sound.

Your Humble Host delves back into the Library of Sound (LOS) and what do you know, its Volume 185 featuring The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Today's story is a classic Holmes tale "The Copper Beeches" based on Arthur Conan Doyle's writings. It was originally broadcast August 11, 1959. Where there's mystery, there's the Library of Sound.

It's time for Sounds Like Radio Volume 131 and the Great Gildersleeve is in a quandary. On the one hand the captivating singer Katy Lee is in town and at the same time he's supposed to go to a Jollyboys meeting. What to do, what to do? I know, well, let's see what Gildy decides. Your Humble Host was mystified himself when he first heard the song Remember Me, The Girl In The Woods as you will be too when Katy Lee starts warbling. It really is a bewitching song. By the way, that is Katy Lee herself that Gildersleeve is kissing in the picture with this show.

But not to be outdone we have on hand some of our favorites too, the Ink Spots in a great stereo recording made in 1959, a rare Peggy Lee stereo classic from 1950's, Burl Ives, Connie Stevens, Bing Crosby, Georgia Gibbs, Jimmy Durante and how about the theme from Connie Stevens' TV show Hawaiian Eye!
