Welcome to another classic short show from Bing Crosby.   These are the "Unplugged" editions of Bing's radio shows where thing are nice & easy.  Relax, have a cup of coffee or tea along with Sounds Like Radio's Library of Sound Volume 22 edition of The Bing Crosby Show from July 27, 1956.  

Exciting News!  Hopalong Cassidy Comes To Sounds Like Radio's Library of Sound Vol. 21 for the very first time!  Fun and great action await as you ride with Hopalong and his pal California in this episode called "Death Paints A Picture" from 6/4/50.   These are exciting stories of western lore.  Hoppy started in movies then to radio and finally his own TV show.   He was a very very popular cowboy star of the '40's and '50's who was known for selling all kinds of Hopalong merchandise to kids, belts, hats, pistols, mugs, cereal bowls, chaps, shirts, underwear, spoons, plates, you name it Hoppy sold it.  I'm sold already on listening to Hoppy on the radio!  Now if I could only get a Hoppy mug.  You'll love hearing Hopalong laugh, it's my favorite part of every show.

The Great Gildersleeve (10/19/49) and the whole family has had it with Leroy’s cat.  Gildy tries to find it a new home.  We're home now with the great music all with a cat theme for today.  Hear the way Your Humble Host weaves in the music of Louis Jordan, Felix The Cat, Dorothy Shay (pictured with this episode), Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Ernest Tubb, Jo Stafford, Rosemary Clooney, Louis Armstrong & Doris Day.  It’s a beautiful thing to hear and witness.  Listen to another classic episode of Sounds Like Radio all done for you and for free.
