Sounds of STL

Today on the SOUNDS OF STL:

- Tony was at a high school alumni golf tournament this weekend. He had a playlist on that everyone seemed to enjoy with songs from the 60s - 2000s.

But that got him thinking....are there any songs that are coming out today that would stand up to the test of time in 40 years?!

Well...lets see. We'll chat about the most recent big hit songs that were released the previous Friday - and see if any of these songs would pass any of these tests...

We dive into that and so much more today on a jammed packed Sounds of STL.

Welcome to the NEW Wednesday’s here on Sounds of STL. This is where STL artists come to share THEIR music with THEIR city. And that’s exactly what I want to do with this, and I couldn’t be more excited. Let’s be honest. Growing up, a dream of mine was to talk to folks on the radio. And that happened. And - now in a position that I didn’t think I’d be in again…I want to try and make someone else’s dream come true. I know that as a band/artist you make music because you love it, or because you want to be famous. Those are the two options. So maybe I can help with one of those. I can play your song ON THE RADIO in the city you grew up in.

So, that’s the plan. Featuring local artists every Wednesday. A full hour of played on the radio and streamed here on the website.

If you are an artist/band and want to submit your music to be featured: EMAIL US at [email protected].

If you want to follow along - we are adding these songs to Spotify/Apple as well. Just searched for “The Official Sounds of STL Playlist.”
