South Canadian Valley Church of Christ's Podcast

We often look at the people around us and dissect their sin, look at their shortcomings, and let that evoke anger or discomfort. But Jesus came with a mission to seek and save the lost. Everyone you know is either on a path to Heaven or a path to hell. We may be able to offer help in meeting people's physical and emotional needs,  but Jesus offers a salvation that can meet their far more important spiritual needs. And it is our job as Christians to seek the lost and give a reason for the hope that is in our hearts. If this congregation can help you in any way, please contact us at www.normanchurch.com.

In the Bible we read many times of how Jesus uses a certain situation to teach a lesson to his disciples and the people around Him.  In this sermon, we learn of how Jesus uses these situations for good and also how we can learn from them 2000 years later. What about suffering? What does the Bible say about why and the place of suffering. Listen in to find the surprising answer.

Jesus emptied Himself. What does that mean and how is it relevant for you?

How humbling would it be to have your feet washed by someone you admire? In this lesson we look at how Jesus humbled himself and washed his disciples feet in order to teach them about how someone of His divinity and authority, lowered himself to serve them. The scripture is much more than a textbook that we are assigned to read a few chapters of each day. Understanding and using the Word of God requires diligence and wisdom. The Bible is not something  we are to bend to support our own opinions, but something around which our lives should be bent. This study evaluates Paul's letters and the importance of using the wisdom of God to spread Christ's message of hope and salvation. An important task in our Christian lives is answering the question, "who is Jesus to you?" In this lesson, we see examples of what Jesus is to us and the benefits of putting our lives in His hands. If this congregation can help you in any way, please contact us at www.normanchurch.com

Are you growing spiritually? Are you seeking to reach God's standard with your life?

In our walks with God, are we constantly seeking Him and trying to do His will or do we put a higher priority on our own will? This lesson goes over how we need a heart that honors God and how we can achieve that. We cannot walk with Jesus when honoring something else above God. If you feel your heart isn't healthy or if this congregation can help you in any way, please contact us at www.normanchurch.com.

In this lesson we discuss what it really means to serve Jesus and how we can better follow in His steps.  It's important to realize that we cannot serve God and the world. The most important question to ask is "what would Jesus do?" If this congregation can help you in any way, please contact us at www.normanchurch.com.
