In this study, we ask ourselves the question: Do we make time for Jesus?
We make a commitment when we join Christ's church to obey Him and to live out His example through our own lives. We are to take up our cross each and every day. We encourage you to listen to this study to understand what this truly means. And if this congregation can help you in any other way, please contact us at www.normanchurch.com.
Have you ever been to a potluck and wondered if there were any Biblical ground rules for such a gathering?
If so, this podcast is for you.
What feelings are emotions does this time of year evoke in you? Sadness? Loneliness? Listen to this message and find out how you can get through these difficult periods.
In 1 Corinthians 14, Paul addresses spiritual gifts, tongues, prophecy and the purpose of those things for the Church. In the early church they had received gifts in a miraculous manner. While it was good to have those gifts, it was very important to use those gifts the way God had intended. The most important purpose and the Word of God for us today is to be clear, understandable, and edifying to all we teach or come in contact with. Do you have abilities you can use to contribute to the Cause of Christ?
Do you have faith in God, even when He does not answer your prayers the way you want Him to?
In todays lesson, we learn more about having faith in God and not just in certain outcomes to our prayers.
What are you holding back? What is it that keeps you from excelling in the church or drawing closer to God?
We live in a society of constant doubt. We demand proof for anything anyone claims to be fact. This mindset doesn't seem to change with the fact of Jesus' ministry, death, and resurrection. In this study we learn of God's mercy to those who doubt. Through the power of God's word we can still have assurance and a steadfast faith, even when doubts arise. The church of Christ is a building of which Jesus is the chief cornerstone. We build our lives around Him. We build our church around him. And we each have a position to fill in the structure of our church family. This study analyzes the building of the wall of Jerusalem and gives us a beautiful metaphor on which we can base our Christian living.
