Acts 13 - One of the hardest things we encounter in life can be surrendering the dream of what we hoped might look like to embrace the reality of what is. I’m convinced the early church had to wrestle through this process in the same way that we do today. They gave up their brightest and their best (Paul and Barnabas) and sent them off for the sake of the kingdom. We see in this passage of scripture that Jesus builds his kingdom of freedom through surrendered people! Are you surrendered?

Acts 12:1-25 Let's be honest... sometimes it seems like God is inconsistent. One of his beloved disciples gets his head cut off and the other is miraculously released from jail. How do we navigate life when it's hard to predict what God is going to do? How do we have faith in real life?

2 Corinthians 2:14-4:7 - It’s easy to fall into one of two extremes – to think of ourselves more highly than we ought or to think of ourselves too lowly. In 2 Corinthians 2:14-4:7the Apostle Paul gives followers of Jesus four pictures of the reality of the life we live in Jesus. We were created in the image of God for the mission of God. Listen as we explore the beautiful invitation extended by a gracious God.

2 Corinthians 3:18 : Everybody knows it… we were designed for relationships. We were created to know and to be known. But, that isn’t an easy thing. In many ways the dawn of the Enlightenment Era invited us to embrace the prominence of the autonomous self. However, on a deep seeded level, we all know we were created for more. In fact, the bible doesn’t say that community is a good way to enhance our lives, it states that community is necessary to shape our lives. Listen in as we explore the way that community helps transform us into the image of God.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 Dallas Willard wrote, “Grace is not opposed to effort, it’s opposed to earning.” Typically followers of Jesus wrestle with this, they either lean towards legalism or laziness. The problem many good-intentioned Christians face is that they don’t know what to pour their effort into right things. Many think that simply trying harder will help them grow, but they soon find themselves worn out, frustrated, and stalled. In this message we explore the (only) goal and the focal-point of the Christian life. This is what we were designed to pour our effort into… and when we do, we are transformed into the image of Jesus!

2 Corinthians 3:1-18 This is the opening sermon to our "The Beautiful Journey" series. Everybody longs for transformation and many people actually work towards it, but very few people find themselves successful. One of the reasons we aren't transformed in the way we'd like is because we begin at the wrong spot. Listen as we explore the essential starting place for all Christian transformation.

Acts 10:1-48

It’s something we will have to do throughout the corse of our lives. It’s also something we MUST do if we are going to follow the way of Jesus. Jesus invites us to be disciples. That word literally means: an apprentice, student, or learner. Well, any learning requires that we let go of old ways of doing things or old beliefs in order to take hold of superior ones. Learning is letting go! In this passage we learn about Peter, a man who walked with Jesus for three years, and who is called to let go of some of the things he believed and some of the way he was living. If Jesus asks him to let go, is it possible he might have the same invitation for us?

Acts 9:32-43 The Kingdom of God. It was one of the central themes of Jesus message and earthly ministry. As the early church walked with Jesus and embraced his message, they started to see the Kingdom of God displayed in transformative ways.
