God’s revolutionary dream for the world is for a unified community of people who stay connected to God as Jesus did, responding to God’s revolutionary ways of relating with each other. The result is a world that is impacted and transformed, one story at a time. We don’t do this alone. Jesus uses a church – his body – to reveal his will and purpose to the world. And each of you is a part of it.

Too often we experience a feeling of powerlessness and helplessness when confronting the sin in our lives. As we go deeper into the 60:60 experiment God reveals more and more of the changes he wants to make in our lives. But old sin habits are hard to break. God is not powerless though, and he gives us two ways to overcome our struggles: intentional practices and spiritual workout partners.

As we allow God to engage our lives through his story, he wants to give us a new identity. We are created in the image of God...we are not defined by our failures or the world. Embrace your true identity!

We live in the tension between wanting to love people and being able to love people. We know that we ought to love people; you can’t say that you love God and hate his children, after all. And yet most of us find loving difficult people . . . well . . . difficult. We even struggle to exhibit love to the people closest to us, the very people we should love the most. How do we love people? By staying so connected to the Father than he loves them through us.

When you read the scriptures and discover God’s heart, you see that, again and again, God has a passion for people. You can’t love God, and talk to God, and listen to God, and enjoy God and then go through your day being mean- spirited toward the people around you. And yet, most of us aren’t genuinely mean-spirited, so what keeps us from loving people? Selfishness.

How do you hear and respond to God? The scriptures claim God created us for relationship with Himself, but relationship requires two things: trust and communication. If God wants to direct our steps, and he promises to do so, then why do we struggle to hear His voice? Could it be that we don’t trust Him enough to commit to obeying him? God won’t communicate His will if He knows we don’t have a heart that is willing to respond.

One of the biggest challenges you will ever face is to let God be the Captain of your ship. We want the control of piloting our own lives, and yet, often our course results in collision and destruction. What if we let God navigate instead? The 60:60 Experiment is a challenge to remain in such close connection that you’re able to know the course God wants you to take, and then to obediently respond to his direction.
