South Richfield

We welcome special guest Ward Fremon to the South Richfield Christmas Spectacular as he and Matt square off in a special holiday game show!  Also the crew talks about how a tree from little ol' Richfield ended up in the Big Apple 22 years ago.

The Richfield Coliseum stood on Route 303 in Richfield for 20 years hosting everyone from Led Zeppelin to Whitney Houston.  If you were anyone in music from 1974 to 1994, you played to huge crowds at what was the one of the finest arenas in the country when it opened.  The Cavs played right next to Emmett's pasture with sheep grazing in the distance.  Matt and Scott discuss their favorite memories of the Richfield Coliseum.

In this supersized edition of the South Richfield Podcast, Matt and Scott reminisce about some of their favorite summer activities growing up in Richfield.  Also, how many ears of corn do you think you can eat?  Scott is certain that he can beat you.

Scott and Matt let the outside world know what's been going on in their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matt and Scott present their second annual South Richfield Christmas Spectacular.  Learn about the Great Sleigh Ride of 1856 which happened right here in Richfield and then settle down and listen to a special story - The Gift of the Magi.  Then after you're done listening, go back and listen to last year's episode!

The South Richfield Podcast returns for its fifth season - Hosts Matt Choma and Scott Luther take a look at a new park being built in Richfield and challenge the audience to Name That Park.  Also, a everyday run evolves into hilarity for Rachel and a goat turns up in an unexpected place.

In this episode of the South Richfield Podcast, Matt and Scott ramble on yet again about gardening, coon hounds, and awful pizza buffets.

Scott and Matt recall the days of the Bath Rollercade and when the DJ would announce "Couples Skate".  They also discuss the failed "Blue Couch Challenge", online genealogy tests, and a man who found himself on the losing end of a bet.

Join Scott and Matt in a celebration of the season with music, cheer, and a special reading of a Christmas classic!  This episode is guaranteed to put visions of sugar plums in your heads - either from you falling asleep or drinking too much to dull the pain of another South Richfield Podcast!

Season 4 of the South Richfield Podcast kicks off with Matt and Scott talking about Traverse City, a new restaurant in Richfield, and the Most Magical Place on Earth to spread your loved one's ashes.
