A point of interest is a specific location that individuals find useful or interesting. The greater the understanding of
the history, the context, the people or even the personal significance, the more impactful the point of interest
becomes for the sojourner.
During Jesus’ last week on earth, his disciples experienced several moments that have become points of interests for
Jesus followers for centuries. Throughout the series, “Points of Interests,” we will take a journey through the
Gospels to explore five monumental points of interests that will leave a lasting impression.
In today’s sermon, as Jesus gathers with his disciples to celebrate Passover, he makes a shocking move of washing their feet – a role designated for the servants. Jesus’ actions initiate a conversation which defines the role he expects his followers to fulfill.
