Bottom line: God still calls ordinary people in extraordinary moments to exercise faith and obedience so that through them He can continue to write His extraordinary story of redemption and restoration.
Christmas is an extraordinary story involving many ordinary characters. Mary and Joseph were just ordinary people that God invited into His extraordinary story. And because Mary believed and surrendered, and because Joseph obeyed immediately, Jesus the Savior was born.
Christmas is the greatest story ever told, but it is at the same time the greatest story yet to fully unfold. God is still writing this extraordinary story of redemption and restoration. Are you, an ordinary person, a part of this extraordinary story? Put your faith in the Savior that was born to die so that you may truly live.
Bottom line: The Christmas harvest is the fruit that comes forth from the death of the seed of the woman.
The Christmas harvest are the souls that are saved because that tiny babe, the seed of the woman, the son of God, went to the cross, died, was buried, and was raised again. And if you are a part of the Christmas harvest, then you have received a harvest of redemption, adoption, regeneration, and an inheritance reserved in heaven for you.

Bottom line: Our commitment to loving Jesus and our neighbor is the greatest factor determining our hindering or harvesting the harvest.
It seems as if many Christians treat Jesus and His cause like the little red hen and her mission to bake bread. Who will help me....? It takes commitment to Jesus and submitment to His mission to participate in His harvest. Let's commit to cast the seed of the gospel, call on the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laborers, and conclude that we can be the answer to the prayer.
Bottom line - The old covenant points to and is completely fulfilled by Jesus' establishing of the new covenant.
Each covenant of the old testament clarified, restricted, and pointed more specifically to just who would be the Messiah and redeemer (the seed of the woman) that was mentioned by God in Gen. 3:15. Ultimately, Jesus is the seed of the woman, the seed of Abraham, the offspring of David, and the fulfillment of the Law.
Bottom line – When we plant the truth of God’s Word in our minds concerning His salvation and goodness toward us, it will produce the fruit of thanksgiving.
In Ps. 103, David speaks to himself and encourages himself to not forget the goodness of God in his life spiritually. God had forgiven him, redeemed him, healed him, crowned him with lovingkindness, and renewed his soul. Those five things are also truths in the life of every believer. If we will plant these truths in our hearts it will produce a harvest of thanksgiving.
Bottom line: When we pray as Jesus instructed us to pray, we will see the plenteous harvest that Jesus sees.
Seeing the Lord's harvest means that we see the pity of the harvest, the potential of the harvest, the problem of the harvest, and the prayer of the harvest. The challenge of praying for the harvest (per Chase Reynolds) is that everyday for the rest of our days pray, "God, send more." God, send more laborers into YOUR harvest.
Bottom line: Our willingness to receive God's Word determines the prepared condition of the soil of our hearts.
It is our "will" that makes the difference. Just like the preparation soil makes the difference in a literal seed growing and producing fruit in the field, the willingness of the heart makes the difference in the seed (truth) of God's Word producing fruit in our lives.
Bottom line: The bread worth eating will bring a change worth pursuing, i.e. feeding on the resurrection/high priestly ministry of Jesus will produce an abundant life.
Joshua 5:11-12 speak of the Jews eating manna for the last time and then eating of the fruit of the land. Manna is a picture of Jesus' crucifixion ministry. He is the bread of life. The "old corn" of the land is a picture of Jesus' resurrection/high priestly ministry. He is the bread of "abundant" life too. We should partake of the manna of Jesus to be saved and then feed upon the resurrection ministry of Jesus to grow depth in our relationship with Him.
Bottom line: When change is necessary, embrace it.
If we know God is pointing out necessary change in our lives, families, ministries, etc. and we will repent (change our mind, heart, and actions), then we will experience change in our lives for our good and God's glory.
