Things in Germany are about to change, quite dramatically.
A new government has come together, made up of three parties to form a coalition.
The Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals all came together agreed to form a government and put Olaf Scholz in charge.
That means it’s bye bye Angel Merkel and hello Olaf Scholz.
What a time to take the reins!
Well regardless of Germany’s soaring inflation, or social unease at the thought of prices screaming higher for a lot longer than the ECB might think, there’s something else, something quite progressive that’s (likely) coming to Germany.
At first when you hear what this is, you can’t quite believe that it’s happening in Germany of all places.
But, as the epicentre of this industry in Europe, it actually makes perfect sense when you look deeper into this industry.
You see this new German coalition is dead-keen on legalising the recreational use of cannabis in Germany.
Germany currently has rules and regulations in place for the legal use of medicinal cannabis, but to fling open the doors to a nationwide recreational industry too…well that’s quite something.
But we hope you’re not one of those people who thinks this is just some fledgling industry pushed by “Druggies” and “pot heads”?
A lot of people are unfortunately. Their puddle-deep understanding of the cannabis industry always inevitably comes back to the idea of cannabis just being about rolling up a couple of joints and having a smoke in an Amsterdam coffee shop.
More fool them.
In today’s Exponential Investor Podcast we dive deeper into this huge move that is almost certain to get pushed into legislation and what it means for investors with an open mind and a desire to invest in an industry that could very well change “Big Pharma” as we know it.
