This show is dedicated to:  NYFD Firefighter Joseph DiBernardo Jr. – "Joey D" – is one that lives in the minds and hearts of his family and friends in the Setauket and Miller Place communities. Now, it's a name that will also be memorialized on the FDNY's "Wall of Honor," a place of honor for New York City firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

The non-profit organization was founded Sept 2010. Mrs. Starr is a soldier with the Army National Guard & through her deployment overseas, as well as her family’s long line of military service, she saw a need that deserved to be filled.

What she likes most about what she does is knowing that a person who has suffered for decades can finally sleep; reconnect with their loved ones, & feel they can live again. She loves seeing children that have been traumatized, with repeat deployments, tell her they feel better, & hearing spouses say they see a difference & have part of their loved ones back. “Now that fills me with joy!”

Christian, Died May 4, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom, 39, of Warwick, N.Y.; assigned to 2nd Marine Special Operations Bn, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died May 4, while conducting combat operations in Farah province, Afghanistan. The incident is under investigation. Also killed was Marine Cpl. David M. Sonka.

Nishizuka, died April 27, 2013 during Operation Enduring Freedom, of 427th Reconnaissance Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, Calif. died in the crash of an MC-12 near Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Also killed were Capt. Brandon L. Cyr, of Woodbridge, Va., Staff Sgt. Richard A. Dickson, of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; and Staff Sgt. Daniel N. Fannin, of Morehead, Ky.

Owner of HIS Services, Mrs. Few co-authored the abstinence education curriculum, “Healthy Image of Sex”, uniquely designed to be implemented in the African American faith community.

Mrs. Few was appointed Commissioner by Governor Mark Sanford and confirmed by the State Senate in 2009 to serve the South Carolina Commission on Women and was elected by her peers to serve as Chair of the Commission in 2010.
