Part 22 - If leprosy illustrates the corruption and defilement of sin, then palsy is the picture of the paralysis that sin produces. Jesus (after ministering to the leper by cleansing; the unclean made clean) now deals with palsy another condition that humanity had no solution for.
In this, Jesus deepens the mans condition, by not just healing him but forgiving him. The man with the palsy was the beneficiary of the healing both spiritually and physically. However, those Pharisees in the vicinity were both critical and unbelieving. We see, Jesus, facing the criticism of the religious elite of the day who didnt comprehend who He truly was.
